Presenting the modular mini customizer with pre-supported bits export! Check how it works HERE!
As I know it can be a little confusing, so I'm listing some frequently asked questions:
1. What's your customizer about and how does it work?
2. Why it's a huge time-save?
3. If we back the Patreon and after a few months stop will we still have access to the customizer and whatever files were in the months we backed?
4. How many minis can I export?
5. Are the minis pre-supported?
6. What bits are there to choose from currently?
7. Is the base fused to the model in the merged export option?
8. Will you expand the customizer with new models?
9. How often will the customizer be expanded?
10. Does the customizer have all The Printing Goes Ever On minis in it?
11. Will I get a ZIP file with all the files from Chapter 5 so I don't have to use the customizer?
Why a good miniatures presupporting is so important: Pre-supported Miniatures Benefits
It's a web application, available as a preview version here: https://www.theprintinggoeseveron.com/patreon and as a full version with export options for Patrons of The Printing Goes Ever On. You can configure a miniature with different poses, heads, weapons, cloaks, and bases.
If you ever planned on printing a large number of minis, for example a host of NPCs for a D&D session or an warband for your skirmish of choice, or even a regular Warhammer army, then you know the pain of picking the modular bits and slicing them. You need to choose the correct bodies and weapons, plus keep track of what you mirrored and such.
With the awesome pre-supported bits export option, you can get a zip file with the ready-for-print bits and just drag them into your slicer. Zero trouble and no need to keep a spreadsheet!
YES! You subbed and acuired the files, thus it's only fair you can use them to their full potential regardless of remaining a Patron.
Unlike using some popular custom mini makers, using mine you can export as many models as you please! You have millions of configurations to choose from ?
All the bits that make up a mini are pre-supported (amazing work, Heydash Workshop!). If you export a merged model, it will not be pre-supported. However, the plus side is, you can open the mesh in Meshmixer, use Edit>Separate Shells and adjust each part as you please!
There are elven rangers, heavy infantry, archers and cavalry. As for weapons and props: daggers, swords, polearms, shields, bows, various hand gestures and even a set of instruments and a banner! A set of bases, both 1 inch and 2 inch. Cloaks, with optional bows on them. Plus the super smart quiver system you can attach to your mini.
It's not! I know how irritating it can be with printing HeroForge models, so I decided it's gonna be exported separately for your convinience. And, as mentioned in the previous point, you can edit the pieces after export too.
That's the long-term goal! First thing first, I want to ensure the system is stable and can scale up. Then I will add more bits to choose from.
The initial plan is to make a modular bundle every three-four months, with some previous models being added to the customizer inbetween modular months.
Nope, it's currently the High Elves from the December bundle. That's 10 bodies, 2 horses and more than 50 bits and a set of sculpted bases.
Yup, as always, you get one, big, pre-compressed ZIP file with all the models from this month, plus statblocks and some huge, amazing battlemaps of an elven city.
